Ready, set, go! If you are looking for an action-packed alternative to skiing in the Paznaun valley, Kappl & See has twice the fun to offer: Each village has its own natural toboggan run, perfect for a family adventure in the snow.
Both runs offer six kilometres of pure tobogganing fun. In Kappl, the route descends 650 metres in altitude to the valley station, while in See you race through the snowy landscape over 700 metres in altitude. Both toboggan runs are great for young and old alike, whether you fancy a sporty family challenge or simply want to enjoy the ride at your own pace.
And there is an extra way to make the adventure even more exciting: night tobogganing in Kappl & See! On selected evenings, both runs become floodlit routes under the stars. A great winter experience for couples, families and anyone looking for a little variety after dark.

Medrig Night Fever & tobogganing evening
One of the most atmospheric winter adventures in the region is night tobogganing in Kappl & See. Every Thursday from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Kappl’s toboggan run is floodlit for an evening ride under the Tyrolean night sky. In See, the equivalent is Medrig Night Fever: On selected dates, the run is open from 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm for an evening in the snow, with the last ascent at 10:30 pm. Afterwards, you can round off the experience at Panoramarestaurant Medrig Alm at the mountain station.

It is open daily from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, depending on weather and snow conditions.

There is no need to bring your own toboggan. Toboggans are available to rent from local ski rental shops in both Kappl and See. Sports shops in the region also generally offer easy rental options.
Both runs are easy to reach using the respective cable cars: The Diasbahn cable car in Kappl and the Medrigjochbahn cable car in See take tobogganers up to the start. Parking is available directly at the valley stations, which are also well connected by the region’s bus and shuttle services.
A helmet and sturdy footwear are strongly recommended for all tobogganers. Ski boots are not suitable for tobogganing. Emergency numbers are displayed at the mountain stations. A few simple rules help keep everyone safe on the toboggan run: Leave enough space, stay in control and adapt your speed to darkness and poor visibility. That way, everyone can enjoy the ride safely.
Toboggan first, stop for a bite afterwards – or the other way around. In See, for example, Medrig Alm at Medrigjochbahn mountain station is a convenient place for hungry tobogganers to stop.
