Whether you are going ice skating, trying ice climbing or spending a few relaxing hours at Silvretta Therme in Ischgl, many winter activities are easy to reach by ski bus from Kappl & See. Travel is free with a valid guest card and winter sports equipment. Check tickets and opening times before you set off so everything runs smoothly on the day. 

A trip to the ice rink in See is a great option for families. Children up to the age of 6 skate for free, with rental skates costing just 1 Euro extra. Older children pay 4 Euro, or 5 Euro including rental skates, while adults pay 5 Euro, or 6 Euro including rental skates. If you would rather have a go at ice stock sport, a 1.5-hour session costs 8 Euro per person, including equipment. 

You can also save money at Silvretta Therme. Book your tickets online in advance to get a 20% early booking discount, which makes a family day out that little bit better value. 

You can rent much of the equipment you need locally for a winter day away from the slopes. Skates are available for a small additional fee at the ice rinks in See, Ischgl and Galtür, while equipment for ice stock sport is included in the price. For ice climbing courses, you can usually rent all the necessary kit as well. 

And if you are heading to Silvretta Therme in Ischgl afterwards, towels, bathrobes and pool shoes are available to hire rent there too, making a spontaneous visit nice and easy.

The Alpinarium in Galtür is another great option, with fascinating insights into life in the mountains. And if you would rather slow things down, the mountain lodges and restaurants in Kappl & See are just the place to warm up and enjoy something good to eat.
